Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum is a research-based, comprehensive curriculum for preschool children ages 3-5 years old. It is designed to promote active learning, social and emotional development, and prepare children for success in school and in life.

The curriculum is based on 38 learning objectives across 10 different areas of development, including social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, literacy, math, science, social studies, the arts, and technology. These objectives are used to guide teachers in planning developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children that are aligned with state early learning standards.

The Creative Curriculum emphasizes hands-on learning and encourages children to explore their environment, ask questions, and make connections between what they are learning and their own experiences. Teachers use a variety of teaching strategies and materials to support children's learning, such as small group activities, read-alouds, and learning centers.

The curriculum also emphasizes the importance of building relationships with families and promoting a positive school-home connection. Teachers communicate regularly with families about children's progress and provide suggestions for ways families can support their child's learning at home.

Overall, the Creative Curriculum for preschool is a comprehensive approach to early childhood education that is designed to support children's growth and development across multiple areas of learning, while also promoting a love of learning and a positive attitude towards school.
